Primary Care

Wellness, chronic conditions, and preventive care

4 Questions
What does primary care include?
Our primary care services cover annual wellness exams, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, acute illness and injury treatment, medication management, lab work, and referrals to specialists when needed. We provide family medicine for patients of all ages.
Do I need a referral to see a primary care doctor?
No referral is needed to establish care with one of our primary care providers. Simply contact your nearest Iris Health Group location to schedule your first appointment.
Can you manage my chronic condition like diabetes or high blood pressure?
Absolutely. Our primary care team specializes in the ongoing management of chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, asthma, COPD, thyroid disorders, and more. We develop personalized care plans for every patient and adjust them as your health needs change.
How often should I see my primary care doctor?
Most adults should have at least one wellness visit per year. Patients managing chronic conditions may need more frequent visits — typically every 3 to 6 months. Your provider will recommend a schedule tailored to your individual health needs.

Infusion Therapy

IV treatments and specialist oversight

5 Questions
What is infusion therapy?
Infusion therapy is the administration of medication directly into the bloodstream through an IV line. It is used when medications need to be delivered quickly, precisely, or cannot be taken orally. It allows for faster absorption and more controlled dosing compared to oral medications.
What conditions are treated with infusion therapy?
We treat a wide range of conditions including:
  • Serious bacterial and fungal infections
  • Lyme disease and osteomyelitis
  • Autoimmune disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease)
  • Dehydration and nutritional deficiencies
  • Chronic conditions requiring biologics or specialty IV medications
Do you have a specialist overseeing infusion therapy?
Yes. Our infusion therapy program is overseen by a board-certified infectious disease physician on staff — bringing hospital-level expertise to a comfortable outpatient setting. This means every patient receives precise, specialist-guided care for their specific treatment protocol.
How long does an infusion therapy session take?
Session length varies depending on the medication and treatment plan. Some infusions take as little as 30 minutes while others may take several hours. Your provider will give you a clear timeline before your first session so you can plan accordingly.
Is infusion therapy covered by insurance?
Many insurance plans cover infusion therapy when medically necessary. We recommend contacting your insurance provider and our office to verify your specific coverage prior to treatment. Our team can help guide you through the insurance verification process.

Advanced Wound Care

Chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, and complex injuries

4 Questions
What is advanced wound care?
Advanced wound care is specialized treatment for chronic, non-healing, or complex wounds that have not responded to standard care. Our wound care specialists use the latest evidence-based techniques to promote healing, reduce infection risk, and restore quality of life.
What types of wounds do you treat?
We treat a wide range of wound types including:
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Venous and arterial ulcers
  • Pressure injuries and bedsores
  • Surgical and post-operative wounds
  • Wounds complicated by infection or poor circulation
When should I seek advanced wound care?
You should seek specialized wound care if your wound:
  • Has not shown signs of healing after two weeks
  • Is increasing in size or depth
  • Shows signs of infection (redness, swelling, warmth, discharge, odor)
  • Is causing significant pain or affecting your mobility
Early intervention is key — don't wait.
Do I need a referral for wound care?
A referral may be required depending on your insurance plan. Contact our office and our team will help guide you through the process and confirm any referral requirements for your specific insurance provider.

Telehealth

Virtual visits from anywhere in California

5 Questions
What is telehealth?
Telehealth allows you to meet with your Iris Health Group provider virtually through a secure video connection — from the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere in California. It's a convenient option for many types of visits that don't require an in-person exam.
What services are available via telehealth?
Telehealth is available for primary care consultations, chronic disease check-ins, medication management, behavioral health sessions, prescription refills, lab result reviews, and minor illness evaluations. Your provider will let you know if an in-person visit is needed.
What do I need for a telehealth visit?
All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and a stable internet connection. We will send you a secure link prior to your appointment — no special apps or downloads required.
Is telehealth covered by insurance?
Most major insurance plans cover telehealth services. Contact our office to verify your specific coverage before scheduling. Our team can help you understand what's covered under your plan.
Is telehealth as effective as an in-person visit?
For many types of appointments, telehealth is just as effective as an in-person visit — including follow-ups, medication management, behavioral health sessions, and chronic disease check-ins. Your provider will always let you know if an in-person evaluation would be more appropriate for your specific concern.
